Doing good together
Become part of the #DoGoood initiative. Join in with your dog and support non-profit projects. Part of the proceeds from all the products we sell are used to ensure a sustainable future for our planet, people and animals.
Our #DoGoood initiatives
You may be protecting endangered rhinos, fishing plastic out of the oceans or planting trees... With each of our products you are supporting one of our non-profit projects. So we can do good together in many different areas.
The animal welfare initiative
With every portion of Goood Senior, bowls full of food are donated to dogs in need in Germany. So, for example, with every 10 kg sack of dry food 5 bowls can be filled with food. Together with the voluntary animal food banks in Augsburg and Berlin we are helping dog owners in need. In those cities, needy pet owners regularly receive food, accessories and advice. No dog goes hungry or has to be taken to the animal shelter, and all can go to the vet if they are sick.
Biodiversity initiative
We support the Reitmayer family's ‘Blühpatenschaft’ (flowering sponsorship) and thus secure near-natural flowering meadows in the region around Augsburg in Bavaria. These flowering meadows provide habitat, food and protection for wild animals, birds and insects. In this way, we want to counteract the regional extinction of species. We already protect 5,500 square metres of bee pasture every year.
The environmental protection initiative
With every portion of Goood Trout (dry food, canned food or snack) we are fishing plastic out of our oceans - together with our partner One Earth – One Ocean. So, for example, 10 kg plastic can be removed from the seas with every 10 kg sack of dry food. It is estimated that there are already 150 million tonnes of plastic in the world’s seas, and this number goes up by more than 10 million tonnes every year. One Earth – One Ocean uses special waste collection ships to collect plastic in coastal areas and estuaries, and recycles it. Energy and fuel are obtained from the plastic waste, in addition to bales of plastic.
The species conservation initiative
With every portion of Goood Free Range Lamb we are supporting female species conservation officers and their search dogs for one day with food, accessories and training. So, for example, we can offer 5 days of support with every 10 kg sack of dry food. "Save the Rhino" trains tracking dogs, thus supporting species conservation groups in Africa such as the „Black Mambas“ - the first all-female anti-poaching organisation in Africa. They and their dogs are protecting threatened rhinos against extinction by poachers. Every year around 1000 rhinos are killed in Africa for their horns – and the unofficial figures are sadly much higher than that. They also look after orphan rhinos and other animals in need of help in the Krüger National Park.
The education initative
With every portion of Goood Junior, sheepdogs are trained for sustainable pasture management in Togo. This will allow local children to go to school rather than staying in the pasture to protect the sheep. So, for example, with every 10 kg sack of dry food you are supporting sheepdogs and making around 5 days of school attendance possible.
With “Project Togo”, natureOffice has been working with the local population since 2012 on natural reforestation projects and to help improve the social structures in Fokpo. This includes the training of sheepdogs that will allow children (who are involved in the family’s farm) to attend school, rather than guarding the animals. Together with are offering the families long-term prospects for the future.
